If we are asked as believers what our values are, we would most likely answer with a general description of the contents of the 10 Commandments, or the Fruits of the Spirit (love, joy, peace etc), or the many other values that are contained within the Bible. They are our plumb line, and rightly so, for they are the Godly standards of integrity that we are to live our lives by. They define us as believers. It is the mechanism by which we are the salt and the light to the world.

However, what we often do not do, is consciously examine whether in fact we are living our lives by those standards on a daily basis, and nor do we understand the importance of those values when it comes to making decisions and choices about what we say, how we act, set our priorities, spend our time, choose our friendships, choose our employment etc, and how we define and achieve success.
